"Grow Your Creativity" is the theme of the 15 the Annual Florida Creativity Conference which will take place March 23-25 in Sarasota, Florida. “The importance of growing human creativity at this time in the 21 st century cannot be overestimated with innovation being recognized as an essential for business leaders, entrepreneurs, and educators,” said Hedria Lunken Saltzman, internationally known deliberate creativity facilitator and Florida Creativity Conference Co-Chair. This year the Conference, which attracts novice and seasoned creators, is offering 50 workshops and presentations by a who’s who of presenters from 9 states, Colombia, South America, The Netherlands, and Canada. This highly interactive event offers participants the opportunity to learn from experts in innovation and creative problem solving, as well as expressive arts and creativity aimed at increasing well-being and flourishing. Participants will leave with an expanded network of creative connections, strategies for actualizing ideas, and refueled imagination and creativity. Innovation catalysts Lee Kitchen, a 30-year Disney veteran, and Josh Mahaney, a member of Orlando Magic’s Innovation Lab team, will deliver a keynote designed to shake up old concepts of creativity with their interactive program: “CPS: Creating Purposeful Spontaneity.” Since 2013, this conference has been presented in partnership with the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee and Florida Studio Theatre. It is made possible by volunteers and supporters of the Florida Creativity Alliance, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to developing creativity in ways that make a positive difference in people’s lives, communities, and the world.
