David Yanez is a visual artist, writer and creative thinker, supporting his creative endeavors as a paintings conservator in New York City and is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts. In addition to art, he is passionate about science, philosophy, nature, spirituality, and life. He believes that artists and creative thinkers held a key role in the survival of and evolution of our species, but have lost their importance and place within our modern world. He questions the use of the term 'artworld' for the exclusivity it represents. Rather, he supports the idea of art in the real world, that has evolved from nature through the process's of natural selection and what he has coined Creative Selection: The Art of Survival. Through the heart-mind of an artist and the eyes of nature, he contemplates the universe in his unique and creative way.
